Elopement in Buccanos Beach Club

Anaïs & Jose

Some days feel extra special, not just because of the beautiful moments they hold, but because of the people you get to share them with. Anaïs and Jose are friends of ours from way back, so having them come down to Cozumel for their elopement session at Buccanos Beach Club made this day even more meaningful for us.
On September 3rd, we had the pleasure of capturing their love story against one of the most beautiful backdrops on the island.
A Private Sunset Elopement in Cozumel
We planned their elopement session for sunset, and the timing couldn't have been more perfect. By the time we began, Buccanos Beach Club was completely private, with no one else on the beach. Just Anaïs and Jose, and the family, anad also the ocean in the quiet beauty of the Caribbean.
Earlier that afternoon, we had a little rain, but as the evening unfolded, the sky rewarded us with the most incredible colors. Soft purples and dreamy sunset tones began to appear over the water, creating the perfect atmosphere for their couple portraits.
Sometimes, the best light comes after the rain, and this evening was a beautiful reminder of that.

Getting Ready in the Studio
Before heading down to the beach, we had time together in the studio to prepare, relax, and take care of those last-minute touch-ups. Having that extra time made everything feel easy and unhurried, allowing Anaïs and Jose to enjoy the experience and simply be present with each other.
From those final preparations to the first moments on the beach, the whole evening came together naturally.
Love, Family, and Beautiful Sunset Colors
Once we were on the beach, we focused on capturing Anaïs and Jose together, letting the sunset and the peaceful setting do their magic. With the beach club completely empty, we had the freedom to create intimate, romantic portraits without distractions.
After their couple session, we also took a few family photos, adding another meaningful layer to the evening. It was the perfect balance of intimate moments between the two of them and memories shared with the people closest to them.
And then came those purple skies. After the afternoon rain, the sunset turned into something truly special, giving us the kind of colors photographers always hope for but can never quite predict.
Ending the Evening at Buccanos
After the photos, The family stayed at Buccanos for dinner, making the most of their evening in this beautiful oceanfront setting. It was such a lovely way to finish a day centered around their love, surrounded by the Caribbean Sea and the relaxed atmosphere that makes Cozumel so special.
For us, photographing friends makes an already meaningful experience even more personal. We were so happy to be part of this chapter in Anaïs and Jose's story and to help them preserve these memories.
A quiet beach, a beautiful sunset, a little rain, a few shades of purple in the sky, and two people celebrating their love.
Honestly, the photos speak for themselves.
Congratulations, Anaïs and Jose! Thank you for letting us be part of such a beautiful day. ❤️
